Chris Green

Chris is a 1978 graduate of Texas Tech University. Here she received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and graduated with high honors. A CPA since 1990, Chris started her accounting career as an auditor with one of the largest CPA firms, Ernst and Young, working primarily in the industries of healthcare and banking. As an auditor, she learned the discipline and attention to detail necessary for exact and complete bookkeeping and accounting records. This position as an auditor set the foundation for her career and it was at Ernst and Young that she learned the hands-on approach to client service.

She then spent several years in industry as a Chief Financial Officer. There she continued her attention to detail as she designed and implemented the accounting systems for a number of different businesses. With this position she continued to work with the art of understanding “what the numbers mean” in terms of tracking and managing businesses. At this time, she decided to venture out on her own. With a large number of clients in the healthcare industry, Chris began assisting clients in maintaining their own set of books. It was at this time that Chris began to design the practice to serve clients that were small and needed a CFO but did not need to hire a full time employee. Chris began to fill that need by serving her clients and setting up their own accounting systems using QuickBooks. Because of her experience as a CFO, Chris has been able to fulfill any financial officer responsibilities that her clients have needed. Chris is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Chris and her husband Barry live in Fort Worth. When Chris is not busy with her practice and clients, she enjoys scuba diving in the Caribbean with her family who have all been certified scuba divers since 2001. Her greatest joy come from the recent birth of her first grandchild, Sterling Grace, who occupies much of her free time these days. And on Friday afternoons, you will find her and Emma Jane, the Team Mascot, volunteering for Pet Partners the nation’s largest Animal-Assisted therapy programs.
